Kathryn Mayo Dip DH FAETC works clinically at Peri-implantitis referral centres in the UK and teaches at both undergraduate and postgraduate level. Kathryn is supported in delivering this course by dental hygienist and NSK Ikigai educator Tracy Doole Dip DH Dip Ed.

Kathryn qualified from Leeds Dental Institute in 1993, gained her teaching qualification, and returned to Leeds as a tutor. She has since worked in NHS, private, and specialist periodontal practices. Through her work at ICE in Manchester, she has developed a special interest in the management of peri-implant diseases and implant supportive care. Her current role as a clinical supervisor for Manchester University BSc Hygiene and Therapy undergraduates involves teaching implant assessment and management, and she also works in private practice two days a week.
Kathryn works closely with a colleague, Jenny Walker and together they have devised and delivered a two-day implant supportive care course at ICE for the last 7 years, they are also part of the teaching team for the MSc in Dental implantology and have written articles about implant supportive care published in The Probe, Dental Health and Implantology Today. Kathryn was involved in the BSP adolopment of the S3 guidelines Stage 4 and Peri-implant working groups. Kathryn is currently studying for a Level 7 Diploma in Oral and Positive Health with Siobhan Kelleher coaching.
